This three-stage adventure takes you beyond Bogotá’s bustling cityscape, into the tranquil, picturesque savannah that locals love. Ride through rolling hills, farmlands, and the mystical waters of Guatavita, said to be the birthplace of the El Dorado legend. Along the way, conquer a few challenging climbs and enjoy well-earned breaks with freshly brewed coffee, traditional breakfasts, and lunch stops in charming, off-the-beaten-path towns.

Paramo Guerrero

Suggested Stage 1:
Cajicá -> Neusa -> Águila -> Zipaquira
93km | 1550m↑ (58mi | 5,085ft↑)

We’ll kick off in Cajicá, riding along a main highway before turning onto quiet backroads towards the scenic Neusa Reservoir. Enjoy the picturesque views and peaceful atmosphere as you climb up to Alto del Águila. The ride finishes in the historic town of Zipaquirá, hometown of cycling legend Egan Bernal, where you can soak up the small-town charm and grab a well-deserved coffee.


Macheta

Suggested Stage 2:
Sopó -> Sisga -> Machetá -> Sopó (105km / 1500m↑)

We’ll be picked up from the hotel and travel to Sopó for Stage 2. The ride will take us north to Lake Sisga via the main highway. After an 11km descent to Machetá, we will climb back up and return to Sopó to end the ride. We will then travel back to Bogotá by car.

For an extra challenge, try the Santa Rosita climb. It makes a total distance of 125km with an elevation gain of 1750m.


Alto de la Cuchilla

Suggested Stage 3:
Patios -> La Calera -> Cuchilla -> Guatavita -> Sesquilé (103km / 2000m↑)

The final stage will begin at the front door of your hotel. We start with Patios, the locals' go-to training climb. Heading north, we pass by La Calera, Macadamia, Guasca, and many scenic agricultural farmlands.

You'll climb the iconic Alto de Cuchilla. Explore Tominé, the reservoir famous for the legend of El Dorado. Visit the charming town of Guatavita before ending our ride in Sesquilé.
